Recent cuts to the athletic department were an effort to comply with an investigation by the Office for Civil Rights following a grievance filed against PLNU regarding Title IX compliance.
PLNU students have not stayed silent on the administration’s abrupt decision to cut the softball, golf and men’s track and cross country programs due to Title IX compliance issues. The cuts followed the loss of the softball field used but not owned by PLNU at Sunset Cliffs National Park for 35 years. The administration also announced it will add a women’s golf program.
Tiger Woods made news again last week, this time for something he said, not did.
Anyone not living under a rock now knows that Woods recently had affairs with seven to 12 women, depending on the news source.
